When did you know you were Desirable to outhers

Ok as I may have mentioned on occasion I kinda dwell on the fact that I wont have the chance to be the young pretty girl. So it got me to thinking about the question. When did others know that they were Desirable to others? and what was the circumstances around this moment? This is mostly directed at females but please men feel free to share as well.
